Details.

Carbon fibre, added with a percentage of 30% to polymer PEEK, assure to this already great material an incredible creep resistance and rigidity.

Compared to other fibres added to PEEK, for example to glass fibre, PEEK CF30 has a 1,38 g/cm3 density, which means it is lighter and so more suitable for applications where weight could be an issue. Moreover, carbon fibre is less abrasive compared to glass fibre.

Wear resistance and sliding properties are additionally improved. These characteristics allow the parts made out of this material to assure a longer lifetime in applications where you could face critical sliding components with high loads. In addition to that, thanks to carbon fibres, a better thermal conductivity Is achieved.

Polyether ether ketone offers an outstanding resistance to water hydrolysis and steam.

Thank to all these improvements PEEK filled carbon fibres is suitable to be used in a various range of industries where requirements are really high.

Miscellaneous information.

PEEK filled carbon fibres is available in black colour and it is approved for aerospace applications.

It is also available is electro conductive version (PEEK ELS CF30).
